Event Services - Set-up Supervisor
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Set-up Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting in the proper setup and timely cleanup of all assigned banquet functions. You will also supervise the efficient and accurate arrangement of event space per event specifications to create effective, fun, and jaw-dropping spaces.
As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll contribute to the guest experience by ensuring event spaces are set up accurately, safely, and on time, creating a seamless and welcoming environment for every event. You’ll also support associates by providing hands-on leadership, clear direction, and coordination to help the Event Services team operate efficiently and deliver exceptional service.
Pay Rate - $18-$20/Hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist with the set-up, breakdown, and resetting of meeting rooms, ballrooms, and event spaces according to event specifications and timelines.
- Review banquet event orders (BEOs), floor plans, and event details to ensure spaces are accurately prepared for each function.
- Lead, train, and provide daily direction to Event Services associates while maintaining productivity and service standards.
- Coordinate with Banquets, Conference Services, Audio Visual, and other departments to support seamless event execution and last-minute changes.
- Inspect event spaces before and after functions to ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and adherence to Kalahari standards.
- Maintain proper handling, organization, and inventory of tables, chairs, staging, linens, and other event equipment while promptly reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in the Food & Beverage or the Hospitality Industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property).
- Prior experience as a server and/or set-up houseperson is required.
- Must have weekend and evening shift availability.
- Must be able to stack, push, and move banquet equipment throughout the Convention Center.
