A full service creditor's rights law firm with a national bankruptcy practice is seeking a remote attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. A qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of bankruptcy experience, however, we are open to training the right team-oriented candidate with less experience. License to practice law in Arizona required.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Primarily manages bankruptcy routine matters
- Draft and review all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter
- Attends scheduled hearings
- Responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries
- Review filings on behalf of the clients
- Monitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)
- Resolving routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.
- Regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and the Court
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws
- Computer Literacy Professionalism
- Keyboard Skills Attention to detail
- Time Management Communication Skills
Required Education and Training:
- Law degree – JD
- Barred in AZ
- Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in AZ
Skills Required
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- License to practice law in Arizona (Barred in AZ)
- Admission to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Arizona
- Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
- Experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases
- 3+ years of bankruptcy experience (ideal)
- Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general creditor rights laws
- Computer literacy and keyboard skills (including monitoring ECFs)
