The Investments Lab Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:

• The analyst will have the opportunity to conduct bespoke strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio optimization and construction, risk identification, fund and capital market strategies, and statistical modeling. It requires a unique focus on innovation as it is a cornerstone of the Global Investment Lab.The team is responsible for three key areas:
• Client Analytics (provision of client-specific analytics and recommendations based upon clients' needs and portfolio holdings, covering assets and liabilities)
• Product Strategy (Articulation of global and regional themes, positioning our solutions offering and strategy development)
• Business Management (Identifying opportunities for CPB and our clients (segments) through analysis of the book of business, clients' portfolios and markets or product trends).
• The Analyst is expected to facilitate client analyses by collaborating with the bankers and Investment Counsellors to identify issues, establish the right approach for the analysis, manage analyst team members in conducting analysis and be able to discuss the results directly with the client. He/she will design custom asset allocation, know our “focus list” managers and key products, and communicate clearly to a client the Citi Private Bank views and how to apply them to the client’s portfolio.
• This position would suit a proactive and energetic analyst with an analytical mindset and the ability to manage his/her time around business priorities.The opportunities for skill-set growth are high because of the wide range of subjects covered.
• Design customized strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies for clients’ portfolios using proprietary models and tools. Comprehensive investment strategies may be multi-asset class or within a single asset class and can incorporate a client’s total balance sheet and cash flow needs, including their philanthropy goals as well as their generational transfer requirements.
• Perform in-depth analysis on individual investment products, strategies, and portfolios across asset classes.
• Perform statistical modeling across asset classes.
• Collaborate with Private Bankers and Investment Counselors to develop objective, actionable proposals to clients.
• Interact with clients to present and discuss portfolio analysis and investment proposals. Discuss and educate others – internally and externally - in work topics openly and confidently.
• Consistent work towards developing innovative solutions, tools and frameworks for global Investments organization.
• Position relevant CPB’s global and regional themes.
• Identify opportunities for CPB and our client segments via analysis of the book of business and markets/product trends
• Inclusive investment and portfolio positioning and/or research, liaising with regional and global counterparts across the Private Bank and Citi as a whole.
• Participate in development, education and rollout of global initiatives, analytical tools and methods.
• Consistently follow and support regulatory policies.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience
• Robust knowledge of Modern Portfolio Theory, asset allocation techniques, portfolio simulation, risk analytics, financial markets and investment strategies. Robust knowledge of Capital Markets and Managed Investment products
• Other: US: 7, 66 & 31

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Con el objetivo de implementar la estrategia de Inversión Responsable dentro de Afore Banamex es necesario contar con un perfil de Fundamental Research Analyst que pueda desarrollar la estrategia de relacionamiento y realizar análisis de las empresas y los vehículos de inversión en los que invierten las Siefores. Sus principales responsabilidades serán:

• Desarrollar y dar seguimiento a la estrategia de relacionamiento.
• Participar en llamadas de inversionistas y reuniones con el management de las empresas.
• Dar seguimiento a un sistema para medir los avances y desarrollos ESG de las empresas.
• Hacer análisis ESG y a partir de éste crear reportes que se utilizaran para complementar el proceso de inversión del equipo de inversiones y la unidad de administración integral de riesgos.
• Identificar y evaluar los key ESG drivers, los views temáticos y las tendencias de las industrias y sectores de las empresas y/o vehículos de inversión.
• Dar soporte y desarrollar herramientas para la integración efectiva del análisis ESG en el proceso de selección de activos.
• Dar seguimiento a eventos relevantes de las empresas y sus industrias.

Required skills:

• 3+ años de experiencia como equity research analyst o rol similar.
• Certificación ESG del CFA deseable.
• Demostrar interés en ESG.(Indispensable)
• Estructura, disciplina y accountability.
• Licenciatura en economía, finanzas o equivalente. CFA es un plus.
• Capacidad de análisis.
