We are seeking Baling Specialists for our First Quality Baby Products site in Macon, GA. The primary responsibilities are compressing/baling scrap and obsolete diapers from finished goods inventory into baled diaper bundles and loading bales onto a shipping container using a forklift.
Job duties include:

Observe all safety rules and always use the proper safety equipment, including but not limited to Lock out Tag Out procedures and use of proper PPE hand protection while changing baler wire.

Follow necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.

Sequentially start up and operate baling equipment, using safety cutters to open finish goods designated to be baled.

Transport finished goods to the baling area.

Line the compression chamber of the baling machine with paper, burlap, or other covering before baling.

Wrap all baled diaper bundles.

Remove bale from machines and transport to storage place, weigh bale, and record weight.

Complete daily checks for the diaper baler system – Ensure all safety eyes and switches are working correctly.

Complete daily forklift inspections and document

Keep an accurate count of the bale inventory and email a shift production total update every shift.

Load baled diapers inventory on a container twice per month. Complete all required shipping BOL paperwork.

Maintain good housekeeping of the Rework/Baling area.

Licensed as a forklift operator.

Perform other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Required experience and skills include:

Ability to communicate orally and written.

Standard knowledge of product codes, general warehouse procedures, Quality procedures, and the radio frequency system.

Fundamental computer knowledge or willingness to learn.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to operate in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to operate all warehouse material handling equipment.

High School diploma or equivalent required
Physical job requirements include:
-
Frequent standing/walking during 12–hour shift.
-
Occasional climbing and bending over during shift.
-
Occasional lifting or carrying of boxes up to 50 lbs.

Constant light grasping and occasional firm grasping during shift.

Safe operation of the baling equipment
-
Safe operation of forklifts and pickers during shift.
-
Sweeping and organizing the floor and work area daily.

Ability to work in warehouse environment that is not climate controlled

Ability to work weekends and holidays
