RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides effective leadership, support and guidance to the business units as they develop a world-class safety culture of continuous improvement.
- Establishes methods that ensure alignment with company safety expectations.
- Provides strategic leadership regarding safety across all assigned business units.
- Partners closely with all levels of leadership to create, maintain and improve H&P safety environment.
- Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including, but not limited to, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- Works with customers to address HSE related concerns.
- Coordinates and manages emergency response efforts in the event on injuries or environmental events.
- Serves as SME and company representative for litigation.
- Provides guidance and support to Human Resources in Worker’s Compensation cases.
- Hires, trains, develops and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with human resources as appropriate.

- Functional experience with Drilling Operations.
- Proficient in LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles.

- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word and Excel proficiency.
- Project management, root cause analyses problem solving ability.
- Innovative, enthusiastic about environment, health and safety solutions that enhance safety performance, reduce cost and strive sustainability.
