Location Overview

Role
The Back Server is responsible for assisting the service team with the delivery of food and beverages to guests, maintaining the cleanliness of service areas, and ensuring seamless communication between the front and back of house teams. They are key to upholding Amangiri’s high standards of service and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Assist with clearing tables and maintaining a clean front and back of house area, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests as per service standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Always maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all food and beverage areas.
- Be fully knowledgeable about the menu and food offerings, providing descriptions to guests when necessary.
- Complete understanding of allergens and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding the handling of guests' allergies.
- Stock and polish equipment (silverware, linens, glassware) and replenish side stations as needed throughout service.
- Act as the liaison between the servers and kitchen, ensuring food information and special requests are effectively communicated.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure the proper timing of food delivery and coordinate the pacing of courses.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down tables and side stations as per SOPs, including pre-shift, post-shift, and daily duties.
- Always maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring guests are satisfied with their experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Positive, engaging, and energetic personality with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Strong multitasking abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with grace.
- Ability to carry, push, and pull heavy loads up to 45 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, and work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain positive professional relationships.
- TIPS and ServSafe certified is a plus.
