About the Team
Within Rapid7's Marketing Department, the Web Development & Operations team is dedicated to the ongoing construction and maintenance of www.rapid7.com , our primary marketing website and docs.rapid7.com, our product documentation website, both of which are critical digital resources for both our customers and prospects alike.
Rapid7 is presently assembling a new development team in our Prague office to rebuild our flagship marketing website on a modernized marketing technology stack to better support the ambitious digital strategy being developed by our digital marketing teams.
About the Role
Rapid7 is looking for a Frontend Web Engineer to join the Web Development & Operations team as it continues to grow and advance the organization's digital strategy and technologies. We need a team player with solid web development skills to ensure high quality delivery of experiences to both customers and prospects. The ideal candidate is someone who can contribute to a team tasked with delivering robust technical solutions, solving system and business problems and implementing world class digital experiences.
In this role, you will:

  • Participate in projects from start to finish including technical requirements gathering, data modeling and deployment
  • Develop complex web UIs both independently and with support and review from our team's Lead Front End Engineer
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively to meet our stakeholders' delivery expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and business needs; communicate technical solutions with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with design, QA and content/brand team members
  • Maintain technical excellence in the execution and the delivery of implementations of varying scope
  • Independently estimate and manage assigned tasks


The skills you'll bring include:

  • 3 to 5 years of front end experience with HTML, CSS (Tailwind CSS) and JavaScript (React/NextJs)
  • Solid understanding of modern web development concepts
  • Capable of translating arbitrary design into responsive styles; familiar with standards and conventions
  • Can confidently implement UI behaviors with JavaScript via various methods, such as with vanilla JavaScript, React
  • Experience working with CMS platforms
  • Experience using common front end tools such as webpack or gulp
  • Comfortable interacting with REST web services
  • Experience working with Git and Jenkins or similar version control and build platforms
  • Attention to detail, and analytical/problem-solving skills
