Lendbuzz is expanding its Cloud & Infrastructure department in Tel Aviv, and we’re looking for a Backend Team Lead with a strong backend foundation to help us scale, improve productivity, and strengthen our cloud-based platform.
This role combines technical leadership, hands-on backend work, and ownership over cloud-native architecture in a fast-growing fintech environment.
What you will do:
- Lead and mentor engineers within the Cloud department
- Own cloud-based architecture, backend services, and distributed systems
- Design and build scalable, secure, production-grade cloud solutions
- Work with containerized environments (Docker, ECS, K8s)
- Develop backend components and internal tools in Python / Typescript
- Drive CI/CD processes, automation, and IaC best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture and integrations
- Ensure high availability, observability, and system reliability
Requirements:
- BSc in Computer Science (MUST)
- 5+ years hands-on experience in backend development (Python advantage)
- Strong system design & architecture background
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience with Microservices
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with Docker or containerized workloads
- Experience building APIs and backend infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills in Hebrew & English
