Backend Staff Engineer

Overview:

The ideal candidate should possess expert knowledge in backend development, writing reusable, testable, and efficient code for an on-premise product. You will be core to increasing performance on a multi-threaded, low-latency, high-availability, and scalable application. You will work as part of the core engineering team and follow our Agile software development processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive the technical strategies for our products.

Responsibilities:

· Ensuring continued performance increases of our Netflow ingestion engine

· Implementing effective security protocols and data protection measures

· Documenting technical designs around processing pipeless and database schematics

· Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies and coordinating with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Strong knowledge and experience with Java Multi-threaded applications

· Strong knowledge of scalable database architectures for both ingestion and retrieval

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.

Nice to Have:

· Databases – Clickhouse and MongoDB

· Networking - SDWAN, SNMP, Flow, Packets

· Cloud – AWS, Azure, and GCP
