Our mission is to develop and maintain a robust VPN backend infrastructure serving over 400 million devices, ensuring high performance, security, and seamless client communication.
Key Goals:
1. Optimize backend applications for heavy traffic and performance.
2. Create lightweight APIs for easy client and SDK communication.
3. Support infrastructure with tools for server management.
4. Ensure high quality of service (QoS) and maintain strong security standards.
5. Tackle complex problems with innovative solutions and foster openness and continuous team improvement.
The team strives to deliver high-quality service while enhancing system efficiency and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering leaders, and architects on new requirements.
- Lead complex technical designs of systems architecture and components built using Go, Kotlin, or Java.
- Work with other team members on design, architecture, code reviews, etc.
- Contribute to the entire application lifecycle (development, testing, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, etc.).
- Continuously maintain and improve existing server components.
- Use tools like Jira, GitHub, TeamCity, and Confluence.
What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role:
- Strong experience in Java, Kotlin, or Go for backend development.
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Ability to write test cases and automated tests.
- English communication skills (B2+).
- Experience in designing REST API services.
Preferred Skills:
- Ruby experience for component maintenance and building secure applications.
- Knowledge of Docker, Grafana, NoSQL (Cassandra), and Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with Kotlin DSL, TeamCity integration, and understanding of VPN protocols.
