We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to Build and maintain high-quality backend services that are secure, well-tested, well-documented, and optimized for production use.
Responsibilities:
Service Implementation:
- Translate API designs into clean, scalable production code.
- Follow Controller-Service-Repository patterns and coding standards.
- Implement security, validation, and access control.
Testing & Quality:
- Write unit and integration tests covering business logic and edge cases.
- Investigate and resolve bugs with structured root cause analysis.
Documentation & Handoff:
- Maintain API documentation, authentication flows, and version histories.
- Update Postman collections and integration guides.
Performance:
- Optimize database queries and implement caching strategies (in-memory, CDN).
- Monitor service performance and suggest improvements.
Collaboration:
- Work with frontend engineers on contracts, mocks, and integration support.
- Support DevOps in deployment, containerization, and CI/CD.
- Participate in retrospectives and process improvements.
Requirements
- Strong backend development in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or C#
- Experience with REST APIs, relational & NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with microservices, pub/sub, and distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
