Our customers run code billions of times a month on Riza to power use cases like extracting data from unknown formats by asking claude-3-7-sonnet to generate Python on-the-fly.
We’re second-time founders, with decades of combined experience at Twilio, Stripe and Retool. We work out of a converted warehouse next to Tartine Manufactory in San Francisco. We’re looking to hire three to four engineers to join us in-person.
The RoleWe run code at scale (billions of times a month). Our backend services need to elastically adapt to load while remaining flexible for rapid product development.
We’re deployed on GCP with a mix of workloads across Cloud Run and Compute Engine. We don’t manually deploy; every commit gets pushed out automatically. We want to keep it that way. Our builds and CI are powered by Bazel. Might seem insane for a team of three, but it keeps our multi-language mono repo tame. Our build times are also wicked fast.
We’re looking for someone to help deploy and scale our existing backend services while also working on new features for our customers.
Who are you?You love distributed systems and developer tools.
You’ve been writing Go for at least three years.
You’re okay to drop in to Rust / TypeScript from time-to-time.
You’re comfortable writing a new service and deploying it to production (no infrastructure team here)
Familiarity with Google Cloud
Experience with Bazel
Comfortable writing TypeScript / Interest in learning Rust
