Role Summary:

We are seeking a Backend Engineer with experience in developing applications using Python and Java. At Globality, we value versatile generalists who demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software—qualities that matter more than expertise in any specific technology.

• Owning delivery end-to-end and releasing without drama

 What we are looking for: 

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of shipping successful projects
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies and microservice architecture
• Strong ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
• A passion for continuous learning, customer empathy, and a desire to innovate within a fast-paced environment

We hope you will join us in building software using:

• Python or Java (Flask, SQLAlchemy), GraphQL and Node.js (Express) for backend microservices
• Deployment in AWS, powered by Docker and Kubernetes
• Continuous Integration via Drone

The anticipated annual pay scale for this position is $90,000-$130,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Globality's total compensation package for employees. This information is provided per the California Equal Pay Act.
