Tagup's AI software directly controls large-scale industrial equipment and logistics systems, ensuring our customers get the best performance they can.
As a Backend Engineer, you will help create and maintain the services that allow us to deliver value to our customers. This not only includes building out our API, but also the infrastructure that it runs on. You will have the opportunity to work on tasks ranging from building infrastructure to support large scale AI model training, to writing high performance SQL queries that support our API, to developing high-throughput IoT devices.
Desired Skills
- You have solid skills in Python and SQL
- You have experience building and managing large pieces of cloud infrastructure as code, especially in AWS using Terraform
- You have built and deployed APIs
- You have experience maintaining databases, ideally SQL based systems
- You have experience with deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters
- You write clean and concise documentation
- You have experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Bonus Points
- Experience with compliance (SOC2, NIST 800-171/172, FedRAMP, etc.)
- Experience being on call and rapidly responding to incidents
- Experience with ML/AI
- Experience with github actions
