Our flagship product is Knot's card-switching API, which empowers individuals and businesses to automatically connect their payment information to their online accounts.

As a Backend Engineer at Knot, you'll dive deep into the code, optimizing our card-switching API and building robust and scalable backend solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using Laravel, FastAPI, and Node.js.
  • Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration of applications, utilizing TypeScript when necessary.
  • Optimize database operations for improved performance and reliability.
  • Implement and enhance application security measures, ensuring data integrity and protection.
  • Lead efforts in debugging and troubleshooting system errors and outages.
  • Work in an Agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams for product advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience with backend frameworks and languages including Laravel, PHP, Node.js, and FastAPI.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Strong grasp on relational databases, their design, and optimization techniques.
  • Comprehensive understanding of API design and optimization.
  • Familiarity with best practices in backend development, including security protocols and patterns.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and problem-solve complex issues.Kubernetes to auto deploy for sandbox environments.
  • Work with Google App Engine to get private libraries.
  • Improve cloud monitoring alerts for more effective oversight.
  • Implement infrastructure monitoring to maintain system integrity.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines for streamlined development and deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in DevOps, including deployment, automation, and cloud computing.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Google App Engine, and other cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud monitoring tools and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with PCI DSS Standards is highly desirable.
  • Experience with security protocols and best practices.
