About the role:

As a Backend Engineer, you will work closely with a growing team of backend and frontend engineers to continue building our end-to-end automation platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Build and manage automated API tests to be run as part of you CI/CD pipelines
• Design and develop new REST APIs for communicating with test runners and other infrastructure
• Prototype and build new features for easy creation of API tests via UI and AI
• Manage a dynamically-scaled infrastructure of containers for services and tasks
• Deliver working code on-time with clear documentation or other explanation
• Measure success and iterate on technical designs to improve outcomes for all stakeholders

We are looking for you if you have:

• 3+ years in software development in a production environment
• Advanced programming skills in Scala or other functional programming language, Java, TypeScript, Node.js
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST and the client/server architecture
• An experience with Docker and AWS Services like: ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Cognito, SQS
• Demonstrated ability of completing software projects, individually and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability of taking ambiguous or ill-defined requirements and problem statements, and rapidly converting them into working code, with quality
• Strong communication skills and English on at least a B2 level
