We are AMBOSS, and we’re looking for a Backend Engineer. Engineers at AMBOSS are at the forefront of shaping user experience for doctors and students, helping them make critical decisions, ultimately impacting the healthcare of billions of people worldwide. You will:
- Actively contribute to engineering projects from conception to completion, with a focus on the B2P courses domain and B2B Educator Tool development
- Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
- Share your knowledge within the AMBOSS community, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and growth.
You bring:
- Proven expertise with PHP and its modern frameworks (such as Symfony, Slim, Laravel.).
- Experience in the full web development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing (unit and integration), deployment, and maintenance.
- Proficient in building and integrating APIs ( GraphQL and/or RESTful) and adept at robust database design and management.
- Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, best practices, and design patterns, with recent or substantial hands-on application, is a plus.
- Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and code review processes.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of addressing complex technical challenges effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
