Our Client Taskbob is looking for Backend Developer.

Job Designation: Backend Developer.

Job Location: Mumbai

Job Type: Permanent 

Working Hours and Days: 6 days a week (8 hours)

Taskbob is a technology start-up by IIT Bombay and IIM Ahmadabad graduates (ex-McKinsey, ex-Nomura, ex-entrepreneurs) with a vision of creating happy households. Taskbob facilitates instant, high-quality home services for customers, while driving higher productivity for servicemen.

We aim to revolutionize home services in India by addressing three of the biggest customer pain points: delays, 

poor quality and lack of price transparency. Taskbob simplifies the entire process, right from finding a serviceman to ensuring the service, all into an easy-to-understand mobile-app interface.

We were recently adjudged as the winner of Mobile IQ, a nationwide competition for high potential mobile start-ups. Subsequently, we have also secured a large VC round of funding.

Backed by strong demand and raving reviews of our initial customers, we are growing rapidly and plan to scale across multiple locations soon. 

The Tech Awesomeness at TaskBob: 

• Use Technology to solve a complex nationwide operational problem. 

• Design and development of a world class API service as per TaskBob's requirements. 

• Work on technologies like RoR, NodeJs, Postgresql, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Redis. Research and explore new technologies that may improve performance and scalability of our software implementation.

• Design, Deploy and Improve proprietary algorithms (rating, allocation,etc). 

• Use the best software development practices and standards including testing, code reviews, and site monitoring. 

• Be an owner! Ideate, Build & Iterate till it reaches millions of users in India. 

Input Variables: 

Should have an experience in backend MVC frameworks like Rails, Django, Node.js, CodeIgniter etc. 

• Should have an experience in C/C++ or Java and one scripting language such as Python, Ruby or Perl. 

• Should be comfortable with the linux operating system and bash scripting. 

• Strong understand RDBMS concepts and proficiency with features of popular databases like MySQL, Postgres, etc. 

• Prior experience in any NoSQL databases would be preferred. 

• BE/BS/BTech in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience. 

• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably at fast paced start-ups

• Complete end-to-end creator of a product that reaches out to millions of users. 

• Learning Ideation and Creation of highly efficient back-end & front-end systems. Understanding consumer behavior through numerous iterations.
