About the Role
We’re seeking a Contract Software Engineer to join our development team for a 3–6 month engagement. You’ll contribute to key backend services that power our senior care recommendation platform. This role is ideal for an engineer who brings hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB, and is also comfortable navigating a .NET-based codebase.
You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable code that directly impacts the families and partners we serve.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB
- Interface with and extend functionality within our existing .NET ecosystem
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to scope and execute features
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and support team-wide engineering standards
- Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and reliability efforts
What We’re Looking For
- 5-7 years of experience in full-stack or backend software development
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
- Recent experience working with MongoDB
- Familiarity with .NET and ability to work within an existing C# codebase
- Experience working in agile environments with remote teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward execution
Bonus If You Have
- Experience with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Previous experience in healthtech, edtech, or other mission-driven environments
