RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs for Backpack’s core platform.
- Design and implement scalable microservices architecture to support high-load operations.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and data consistency through optimized database design and query tuning.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and service monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and tools relevant to large-scale systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend development (Node.js, TypeScript, or similar).
- Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid grasp of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar).
- Proven ability to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality backend solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- English proficiency sufficient for reading and writing technical documentation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GraphQL, NestJS, or gRPC.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, caching strategies, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Previous experience in gaming, fintech, or digital asset platforms.
