The Alpega Group is looking for a Backend Developer (Java). This role will be part of our Carrier Products Team and to be part of the Product development. This role will be based in Sant Cugat, Spain.

You will be entering a team that has shared ownership of 7 products, Teleroute, WTransnet, Smartbooking, RTV, Connecta, Mobile, RoadHeroes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- You will participate in several phases of the project, from the technical analysis up to the release into production
- Will Design, operate and maintain new and current solutions in an Agile environment to continuously deliver value to customers
- Drive the software quality, security and performance through unit, functional and performance tests;
- Support continuous improvements of the team and the development environment
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU
Must have
- Strong knowledge & experience of at least 3 years of: Java and Spring Framework
- Have fluent Spanish & English
- Experience with dependency management tools (Maven, Gradle)
- Experience working and developing REST API
- A proactive person that is looking forward to learning and growing in an international work environment.
- Committed to the quality of the code and products released.
- Knowledge about code quality like: SOLID principles, clean code, Unit testing.
- Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with relational databases
Nice to have:
- Jenkins, Gradle
- Experience/certification on the AWS platform and Integrations.
- Experience with non-relational databases
- Experience with application server like Jboss/WildFly/Spring Boot
You will be tested in these competences throughout your selection process.
