What kind of impact will you make in shaping the future of our AI powered solution?
Our Machine Learning Platform teams shape and maintain the very core of Coveo’s infrastructure. The teams provide two main functions to support the modeling stack and common abstractions to help scale the use of the Coveo AI models while maintaining their high quality. As well provides tools to our ML Scientists and ML Developers to empower them to rapidly and efficiently develop, deploy, and debug model pipelines.
We are looking for curious interns with an interest in machine learning. If you are eager to improve and gain new skills whilst contributing to exciting and relevant projects; this is the internship for you!
What your typical day would look like:
- You start your day off with a team meeting (scrum) to track the progress on the team’s different projects and elevate each other by sharing innovative ideas.
- Take ownership of your current projects, start your day with some coding!
- You then jump on a Zoom call to shadow the work your coach is doing, asking questions and learning from their approach.
- As you’re eager to be given more responsibilities, you make sure to test your code like a pro for it to deliver tangible value. Get ready to cross collaborate between different teams internally, this role will have you working with multiple developers.
- After lunch your priorities shift, you take on some of your teams’ backlog tasks. Your manager encourages you to try out a new ML tool and see if we could integrate it into our ecosystem.
- The day is coming to an end! You take some time to review the feedback you received from your latest code review and understand how you can improve for next time.
Here's what will qualify you for the role:
- You are currently enrolled in a Software Engineering or Computer Science program with a previous internship completed.
- You are a tech and machine learning enthusiast: You are passionate about the industry and exploring the latest trends.
- You have experience with Python and an interest in machine learning.
- You don't hesitate to ask questions.
- You enjoy taking on complex problems and finding ways to improve processes through innovative ideas and creative approaches.
And the cherry on top that will make you stand out:
- You have prior experience with Scala, CI/CD, Azure OpenAi, ML tools (such as mlFlow, Jupyter Notebooks, Sagemaker, Metaflow, etc)
- You have great organizational and time management skills.
- You have a strong sense of ownership and are proud of what you create.
You don’t need to check every single box; passion goes a long way and we appreciate that skills are transferable.
