Overview of Role
Reporting to the Regional Head of Trade Support, this individual will become an integral member of a dynamic team responsible for delivering critical operational support to the Oil Trading desk. This role offers unique exposure to various aspects of the trade lifecycle, including contracts management and settlement processing, providing an excellent platform to develop a comprehensive understanding of the trading business and its supporting functions.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of internal trade data in ETRM system
- Validate transactions against trader recaps, broker confirmations and counterparty contracts
- Collate signatories of contracts/confirmations
- Process incoming invoices and invoice preparation
- Letter of Credit related documentation
- Assist with spreadsheet updates
- Filing/ Document Management
- Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by your manager
Profile
The individual should have the following qualifications/ experience but not mandatory:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a solid foundation in business writing
- Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and ownership
- Quick to adapt to new tools, systems, and technologies
- Applicants need to commit to the standard 5 days work week throughout the entire 6 months internship period.
