The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about learning new technologies and translating those learnings into the development of new features for one of the fastest-growing software applications in the functional fitness industry. You will be an integral member of a team coding a wide variety of features for the app.

Our engineering team – with your help – will tell powerful stories through our product line, targeted to our existing and prospective customers. This is the perfect opportunity for a talented UI developer with an interest in full stack development, testing, and implementation, to work with other top tier engineers, product designers, and product managers and be impactful in a fast-paced environment with high expectations.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop great mobile and web interfaces for our performance tracking and gym management products.
  • Integrate React solutions into our low-code environment application development environment Outsystems
  •  Coordinate our team’s efforts as we design and implement reusable back end libraries and the git based workflows for version management and deployment of those libraries. 
  • Support the creation of solutions for new product features and enhancements
  • Active participation in team agile activities such as story curating, planning work backlog, work estimation, sprint planning, retros, demos, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide responsive support to escalated customer issues, plan delivery of product changes, and new products.
  • Participate in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions
  • Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Develop software architecture and provide technical guidance to other team members
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, review their code, and provide constructive feedback
  • Continuously explore new technologies and methodologies to improve the software development process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Take ownership of technical challenges and drive them to resolution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on back-end technologies and workflows.
  • Must have 2 years experience doing UI development in OutSystems (application will not be considered without this)
  • Strong proficiency in Javascript, CSS, HTML, and React
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud computing
  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading technical projects
