Back-End JavaScript Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Back-End JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic development team. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic and core infrastructure that powers our application and website.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Meteor.js, along with hands-on experience in server-side development, database design, and API integration. They will work closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to ensure our systems are performant, secure, and scalable. Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Meteor.js and Node.js.

• Design, develop, and maintain secure and efficient RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support front-end services.

• Integrate with third-party APIs (e.g., sports data feeds, payment gateways, user identity providers).

• Manage and optimize MongoDB or other NoSQL databases for data storage, querying, indexing, and performance.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to deliver cohesive, high-quality product features.

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using secure protocols (OAuth2, JWT).

• Monitor server health, log activity, and troubleshoot/debug issues across environments.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate testing and deployment workflows.

• Write clean, modular, well-documented code and participate in peer code reviews.

• Stay current with back-end best practices, new frameworks, tools, and industry trends.

• Ensure system performance, scalability, security, and compliance with data privacy standards.

• Provide input during system architecture discussions and contribute to long-term tech strategy.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in back-end development with JavaScript, with a focus on Meteor.js.

• Strong understanding of server-side development and database management.

• Proficiency in Node.js and experience with other JavaScript frameworks.

• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
