Bachelor Thesis in Design and Implementation of a Data Acquisition System for Performance Testing of External Gear Pumps

• During your thesis you will define test requirements for gear pumps (e.g. what parameters to measure).
• You will select appropriate sensors and data interfaces.
• Furthermore, you will develop or program a DAQ system using LabVIEW / NI.
• Validating the system with test runs to ensure accurate and reliable data capture also falls within your area of responsibility.
• Finally, you will document results and provide analysis, possibly identifying ways to optimize testing or product performance.

• Education: Bachelor studies in a technical or scientific field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or comparable)
• Experience and Knowledge: basic understanding of fluid dynamics, hydraulics, and mechanical design principles; familiarity with CAD software (e.g. CREO, AutoCAD) and simulation tools is a plus
• Personality and Working Practice: you excel at analyzing complex data with attention to detail, working in a structured way independently or collaboratively, and maintaining a proactive attitude contributing own ideas
• Languages: fluent in English, basic in German

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 4 - 6 months
