Now, we're growing our business development team in Fort Lauderdale with an in-person, boots-on-the-ground rep focused on cultivating real-world relationships.
What You'll Do
You won't be stuck behind a dialer or tasked with cold call quotas. Instead, you'll:
- Be the face of WheelHouse IT at networking events, community meetups, and client-facing engagements
- Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers across target industries, especially in healthcare, legal, finance, and professional services
- Visit prospect sites, referral partners, and industry events regularly to expand local reach
- Support marketing campaigns by ensuring outbound efforts (mailers, events, webinars) are followed up with a personal connection
- Work closely with marketing and leadership to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategy
- Capture and maintain detailed notes in HubSpot CRM
We're Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Naturally charismatic, confident, and comfortable introducing themselves in any room
- Local to South Florida (our HQ is in Fort Lauderdale) and familiar with the business landscape (or willing to quickly become so)
- A connector at heart - you build and maintain meaningful relationships
- Self-driven and accountable with excellent follow-through
- Comfortable navigating business conversations with C-level and VP-level contacts
Preferred Experience:
- 1–3 years in B2B sales, partnerships, or business development (bonus points if it's in IT or professional services)
- Strong understanding of prospecting strategies and CRM tools (HubSpot preferred)
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Eventbrite, and calendar scheduling tools
- Background in attending, organizing, or selling through local events
