Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manufacturing Expeditor 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the B-2 Modification Team. This role is located at Whiteman AFB, MO. This position requires a security clearance, so an active clearance is preferred, but a clearance request will be submitted for the selected candidate if necessary. The nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working in a classified environment; cell phones and personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas.
Your duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Expedites, routes, and dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments.
- Reviews master production schedule to determine possible and actual shortages and alerts proper authorities of potential problems.
- Generates progress reports on schedule status and keeps records of completed orders.
- Takes appropriate action to expedite materials such as order damaged material repaired or in-house material transportation.
- Reports on completion dates, material changes, or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications.
- May perform tool control and other support duties in support of modification team needs.
The selected candidate must be willing to work various shifts depending on business needs, including, but not limited to: 1st shift 0630 – 1500, 2nd shift 1430 – 2300, and overtime when required. This position is primarily for second shift.
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 2: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Level 3: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces.
- Must be able to pass a physical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements.
- Have strong written and oral skills in order to understand the specific needs of the team and communicate those requirements to fulfill the team’s orders.
- Work within strict quality and tool control standards.
- Functional understanding of Microsoft Office Products.
- This position requires strict organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Active DOD Secret Clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 6 years.
