POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Azure AI Web App Developer II is able to design, build, and maintain intelligent web applications powered by Microsoft Azure and AI technologies. This role combines full-stack web development with cloud-based AI services to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate has experience with Azure services, modern web frameworks, and integrating AI capabilities such as natural language processing, machine learning, or generative AI into applications.
This is an onsite position, within our office in Springfield, Missouri.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Design and develop scalable web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., NodeJS, React, Angular, or similar)
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices hosted in Azure (App Services, Functions, AKS)
- Implement secure authentication and authorization (Azure AD / Entra ID, OAuth2)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and data scientists
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and cost efficiency in Azure environments
- Deploy and manage applications using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Build and integrate AI-powered features using Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning)
- Monitor applications using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and logging tools
- Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and compliance
- Stay current with emerging AI and cloud technologies

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: (List the MIINIMUM education and experience requirements to perform the essential functions of the position.)
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in application development, preferably Azure Web Apps and NodeJS, React
- Strong understanding of relational database design, scripting, and API integration.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and cloud platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Knowledge of distributed systems concepts, asynchronous communication, and RESTful services.
- Experience with microservices frameworks, event streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka), and messaging systems.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Adobe Workfront, and ServiceNow.
