Analytica is seeking an Azure Data Engineer (ETL Developer) to support a dynamic federal government project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the extract, transform, load (ETL) and reporting of the data warehouse dataset, as well as determining data accuracy and determine optimal structure for analysis and reporting purposes.

 Responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, ADLS, T-SQL scripts and Python notebooks. 
  • Manage data quality and integrity, resolving issues, and creating technical documentation.
  • Automate data platform operations and manage the post-production system and processes. 
  • Design efficient data models from a logical design based on business requirements and available use patterns. 
  • Ability to triage and self-direct, prioritize and manage time effectively 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering and data warehousing using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, ADLS. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in Dimensional data modeling, T-SQL development, Python, and familiar with Spark 
  • Experience with methodologies agile development and DevOps tools, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  •   Exposure to metadata management including data catalogs using Microsoft Purview 
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric 
  • Experience with creating Power BI reports and dashboards 
  • Experience with data quality, data governance, and data security best practices
