Azure Cloud Systems Engineer
Location: Suitland, MD
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Systems Engineer in Suitland, MD to design, implement, and maintain enterprise Azure architecture supporting Zero Trust tools, identity services, and security monitoring platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engineer Azure resource groups, subscriptions, networking, virtual machines, identity integrations, and cloud baselines.
- Design hybrid-cloud integration supporting on-premises and cloud-based Zero Trust platforms.
- Provide cloud architecture documentation, diagrams, integration schemas, and operational support.
- Implement automation, monitoring, security baselines, and cloud compliance standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, MIS, or in a related discipline with 8+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- 7+ years Azure engineering experience, including automation and cloud-native architectures.
- 5+ years Cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring (AWS, Azure).
- Skilled with PowerShell, Python, ARM/Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting RMF and cloud security compliance.
Required Certifications:
- Active IAT or IAM Level II/III DoD approved 8570 baseline certification, such as Security+ CE or CASP certification.
- Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect certification.
Salary range is $130,000–$150,000, depending on experience.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a related discipline with 8+ years of experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- 7+ years of Azure engineering experience, including automation and cloud-native architectures.
- 5+ years of cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring using AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, ARM/Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting Risk Management Framework and cloud security compliance.
- Active IAT or IAM Level II/III DoD-approved 8570 baseline certification, such as Security+ CE or CASP.
- Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect certification.
