Azure Cloud Solutions ArchitectAbout your role:
You will design and drive end-to-end solution architectures for financial initiatives within merchant services. You will partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, network, and information security teams to create practical, secure, scalable, and implementable solutions. This role is important to modernizing platforms, enabling cloud and hybrid architectures, and supporting reliable delivery of production-ready technology solutions.
What you'll do:
- Design end-to-end solution architectures across application, integration, data, security, and infrastructure layers for merchant services initiatives
- Architect solutions using Microsoft Azure native services across compute, integration, data, networking, security, and observability domains, while incorporating extended platform capabilities where needed
- Define reference architectures for cloud-native and hybrid solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements using microservices, application programming interface (API)-first, and event-driven design patterns
- Partner with engineering teams to translate architecture into buildable solutions through design reviews, proof of concept activities, technical guidance, and delivery support
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and information security teams on design validation, implementation planning, and operational readiness activities
- Ensure solutions are secure by design, cost-aware, resilient, and operable in production environments
- Support modernization of legacy platforms into cloud-native, microservices-oriented architectures aligned to enterprise standards and delivery objectives

Experience you'll need to have:
- 8+ years of experience in technology roles, including 5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure and 3+ years of experience in an architecture or lead solution engineering role
- 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience building, deploying, or supporting distributed applications in enterprise environments
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Functions, Event Grid, Blob Storage, data services, API Management, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Cache for Redis, and Service Bus
- 4+ years of experience designing cloud-native, microservices-based, API-first, and event-driven architectures, including modernization of legacy platforms into scalable cloud solutions
- 3+ years of experience with virtual networks, hybrid connectivity, load balancing, Microsoft Entra, and Key Vault in secure enterprise environments
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service, including containerization, scaling, resiliency, and production operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with Java development
- Experience in payments, merchant services, or financial services environments

Salary Range
$128,000.00 - $216,000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
