We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Azure Cloud Architect with a passion for designing secure, scalable architectures for Azure-based solutions. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding our cloud consulting services offering. This role combines technical excellence with business development and pre-sales activities, requiring strong customer engagement and solution design capabilities. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You’ll Do
Develop secure, scalable architectures for Azure-based solutions
Lead pre-sales technical engagements including solution design, customer presentations, RFP responses, and proof-of-concept demonstrations
Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer requirements and translate business problems into technical solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture strategies
Develop comprehensive technical proposals, statements of work, and architecture documentation for prospective clients
Evaluate and implement tools and technologies that enhance cloud operations
Ensure the security and compliance of cloud solutions
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
Plan and execute the migration of on-premises applications and data to the Azure cloud
Build and maintain relationships with Microsoft partner teams and stay current on Azure roadmap and capabilities
Demonstrate initiative and self-direction in identifying opportunities and driving projects to completion
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or relevant work experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Azure architecture and cloud solutions
Minimum of 2-3 years of pre-sales, solution architecture, or customer-facing technical consulting experience
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a must
Additional Microsoft certifications highly valued: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure AI Engineer Associate
Proven track record in designing and implementing Azure architectures
Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision
Strong business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with business objectives
Excellent presentation and communication skills with proven ability to present to C-level executives
Strong knowledge of Azure services and cloud security best practices
Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
Knowledge of security principles and best practices for cloud security
Experience responding to RFPs and developing technical proposals
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment
Preferred:
Experience with high-sensitivity security requirements, such as CJIS, FedRAMP, or ITAR is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Azure Government Cloud and public sector clients is a plus
Familiarity with Microsoft partner programs and Solutions Partner designation frameworks is a plus

$165,000 - $185,000The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
