Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Design & Deployment
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Architect VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, and private/public network segmentation.
- Deploy compute resources using EC2, ECS, Lambda, and EKS based on use-case requirements.
- Operations & Monitoring
- Maintain and optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray, and third-party tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk).
- Ensure effective backup, disaster recovery, and incident response strategies are in place.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, KMS, S3 bucket policies, and data encryption.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and patch management.
- Support compliance with relevant frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA.
- Automation & CI/CD
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using ECS/EKS.
- Streamline infrastructure provisioning, code deployments, and testing.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with DevOps, Developers, and Security teams to align infrastructure with application requirements.
- Create detailed documentation of architecture designs, operational procedures, and incident reports.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications:
- AWS Certification: Must hold at least one professional-level certification such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture.
- Strong understanding of core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, etc.
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration with EKS/ECS.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Financial Management (CFM) practices.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and tools.
- Background in system administration (Linux/Windows), networking, or cybersecurity.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
