Job Description:
We are looking for Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with experience using containers and Kubernetes. The role demands to be responsible for developing, testing, documenting, and supporting advanced cloud architectures using automated techniques to deliver highly secure environments. Should be able to build/develop advanced cloud network implementations with a high degree of mindfulness for security principles and implementation. Ability to operate/navigate cloud native tooling via API (python) is a plus. Needs proficiency in Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems.
Job Skills and description :
- Candidate should be very clear in Kubernetes components, communications and flows.
- Candidate should have been involved in Kubernetes implementation projects previously.
- Must be proficient in writing Kubernetes object YAML files e.g. Service, POD, Container, Route, Storage, Volume template files, Docker files, Jenkins files, Groovy scripts to run containers
- Well versed with DevOps architectural patterns, Best practices, CI/CD practices using various DevOps tools like Jenkins, Artifactory etc.
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using open source tools like Jenkins or AWS specific services like Code deploy, Codebuild etc.
- Experience in one of the configuration management tools like Ansible, chef, puppet etc.
- Work with the development teams to design scalable, robust systems using cloud architecture
- Should have good experience in Cloudformation or Terraform to build infrastructure in AWS
- Good knowledge in AWS services EC2, VPC, ALB, AutoScaling, CloudWatch, Route53, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, etc..
- Administration experience with Linux/Windows servers
- Good knowledge In any one of the scripting tools like python, groovy etc.
- Knowledge in setup and configure monitoring tools like Prometheus, grafana etc.
RequirementsQualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Equivalent
- 3+ years' of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of leading architecture solutions in the industry area
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Skills Required
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes, including components, networking, and implementation projects
- Proficiency writing Kubernetes YAML objects (Service, Pod, Deployment), Dockerfiles, and container templates
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or AWS CodeDeploy/CodeBuild and knowledge of CI/CD best practices
- Familiarity writing Jenkinsfiles and Groovy scripts to run containers
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation or Terraform
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, ALB, AutoScaling, CloudWatch, Route53, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS)
- Administration experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems
- Scripting experience in Python or Groovy for automation and cloud-native tooling via APIs
- Knowledge and experience setting up and configuring monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
