Role Summary:
As an AWS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda with Java Spring Boot. This role requires expertise in Kafka for event-driven architecture and a strong understanding of AWS integration services. You will play a key role in building and exposing APIs via AWS API Gateway/Manager, managing asynchronous integration processes, and optimizing cloud-native applications. Experience in a retail environment with Point of Sale (POS) or Order Management System (OMS) integrations is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy scalable Spring Boot applications on AWS Lambda.
- Build, expose, and manage APIs via AWS API Gateway/Manager.
- Design and implement asynchronous integration processes using AWS messaging services like SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and Kinesis.
- Work with Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time data streaming.
- Utilize AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation for application development.
- Optimize AWS Lambda functions for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a serverless environment.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
- Ensure best practices in security, performance tuning, and cloud governance.
Skill & Qualification:
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, with expertise in Spring Boot.
- Proven experience in AWS Lambda development with Spring Boot applications.
- Strong knowledge of AWS API Gateway/Manager for API development.
- Experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven processing.
- Understanding of AWS asynchronous processing using SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and Kinesis.
- Familiarity with AWS DynamoDB is a plus.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Previous experience in Retail industry, particularly with POS or OMS integrations.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS monitoring tools like X-Ray and CloudWatch.
