The Role

VetsEZ is seeking a skilled AWS Developer to design, develop, and manage cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS services, cloud computing, and DevOps practices to build scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications and solutions on AWS.
  • Utilize AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, and others for application development.
  • Implement serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Ensure security best practices in AWS, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance.
  • Optimize cloud-based applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance using AWS CloudWatch and logging tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver cloud-based solutions.
  • Stay updated with AWS best practices, new features, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an AWS Developer or Cloud Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, cloud computing, and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in AWS environments.
  • Experience in designing and managing relational and NoSQL databases in AWS (RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with machine learning, big data, or IoT services in AWS.
  • Knowledge of multi-cloud strategies and hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Experience building functions in Python.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Experience with integrations with SaaS products, such as Pega, Service Now, or Jira.
