The Assistant Vice President – Strategic Finance is responsible for the key preparation and coordination of finance diligence on prospective deal activity across both our Life & Annuity and General Insurance lines of business and play a key role in long term capital and financial projection development. This position will require significant interaction and partnering with our corporate development, pricing actuarial, finance and capital teams. This position reports to the VP, Strategic Finance and will be based in our Bermuda office.
What You Will Do:

Prepare pro-forma financial statements at the consolidated and legal entity level under various reporting bases, including U.S. GAAP and Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet, to explain the impact of potential deal structures on existing and forecast financial results to GAAP and adjusted management metrics.

Review the funding and leverage impacts of the deal pipeline on current and future funding capacity.

Review the capital impact of potential deals under the Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR) rules at a legal entity and group level.

Performing a review of deal pricing models and executing a review and challenge of GAAP results produced through the pricing process.

Preparation of monthly Management and quarterly Board reporting materials.

Develop and enhance controls around long-term modeling and forecasting.

Working in tandem with multiple departments across the company, including controllership, reinsurance operations, treasury, capital management, rating agency, tax and accounting policy.
What You Will Have:
-
Professional designation (e.g. CA, CFA or CPA or equivalent) combined with minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.

GAAP & Bermuda EBS accounting experience for either Property & Casualty or Life & Annuity reinsurance

Experience with creating and developing financial models.

Proven track record for exceeding expectations on various, simultaneous projects with tight deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with strong ability in Microsoft excel.

Highly motivated and creative / strategic thinker.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage processes working with a diverse team across multiple departments & locations.
The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$135,000—$150,000 USD
