Role Summary/Purpose:

The Enterprise Integrated Services AVP, Scrum Master will be responsible for defining, planning and leading the delivery of Enterprise Integrated Services (EIS) initiatives supporting the Enterprise Integrated Services (EIS) ART.  The Scrum Master will be responsible for leading one or more Agile Teams executing development for Engineering Strategy. Collaboration with Agile team members including the product owner, engineering teams, business stakeholders & ART leadership with the goal of leading innovative solutions to production as per the EIS ART Engineering prioritized initiatives. Additionally, the individual will assist in supporting financial monitoring with key stakeholders and identifying / pursuing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Servant / Leader to multiple agile teams of various levels of Agile maturity Situationally, coach, mentor and manage teams and team members as appropriate.

  • Drive relentless improvement across the ART and individually. 

  • Jira, Jira Align and Confluence upkeep and hygiene for all initiatives Provide ART Sync and additional status and health reporting for ART Leadership. 

  • Use exceptional communication and facilitation skills to develop reports to clearly articulate project challenges, progress and health to multiple key stakeholders  

  • Organize and lead two or more Scaled Agile teams including at a minimum leading program ceremonies consistently to ensure development stories, acceptance criteria, assumptions, QE, release and all related documentation are timely and complete to support all development, testing, and user acceptance activities.  

  • Develop project/program plans to realize the requirements, while leading, managing, tracking, and communicating the execution of the plans and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.  

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience or in lieu of degree  8 years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experience 

  • 2+ years of Scaled Agile experience in a financial services company 

  • Hands on, self-motivated professional experience with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives 

  • Ability to understand and communicate technical engineering requirements of projects and effectively manage resources, vendors, development, testing, and release efforts. 

  • Creativity, enthusiasm, flexibility and energy with a strong business-oriented, customer "can do" attitude to deliver value to the Team, Enterprise Integrated Service and Enterprise in support of our partners and consumers.  

  • Demonstrated QE and Engineering knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge and Experience in Middleware. 

  • SAFe Scrum Master certification  

  • Strong business acumen and superior decision-making skills 

  • Track record as a cross-functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization

  • Experience managing projects in large financial services companies 

  • Experience managing multiple scrum / kanban teams in parallel 

  • Experience managing offshore resources, organizing and motivate large cross-functional teams. 

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience or in lieu of degree  8 years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experience 

Work Timings: 3 PM to 12 AM IST 

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
