Portfolio Projects & Model Change
- Support catastrophe model validation, change, and implementation activities, including documenting methodologies, assumptions, testing approaches, and outcomes.
- Partner with the Portfolio Analytics team to deliver model change impact analysis and translate findings into clear stakeholder insights.
- Communicate model changes and developments to underwriters, providing regular updates on timelines, impacts, and practical implications to support engagement and readiness.
Development & Business Requirements
- Partner with the Development team and regional stakeholders to define, prioritise, and support delivery of system and reporting enhancements by translating business needs into clear functional requirements and helping validate solutions through user testing and feedback.
Transactional Data Standards & Reporting
- Own and maintain the RMSi data dictionary.
- Define, communicate, and promote consistent global data standards and best practices, including data quality checks and governance routines.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and maintain operational dashboards and associated reporting.
Risk Reporting, Regulatory & Lloyd’s Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Risk function on catastrophe modelling and exposure reporting matters.
- Lead responses to Lloyd’s and other regulatory information requests, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and consolidate recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements across stakeholders.
- Maintain an audit-ready evidence trail and clear documentation standards.
Cross-functional Change & Integration
- Support business change initiatives affecting catastrophe modelling operations, reporting, and governance.
- Document transitional processes, identify gaps and risks, and coordinate remediation activities with modelling, underwriting, risk, regional, and development teams.
- Marine model validation testing.
- OASIS model rollout and implementation support.
- BOLT enhancement requirements, testing, and stakeholder coordination.
- Merger integration across legacy Aspen and legacy Sompo catastrophe modelling approaches, including alignment of methodologies, data standards, assumptions, and reporting outputs.
Skills Required
- Experience validating and implementing catastrophe models (testing methodologies, assumptions, documentation)
- Experience with RMSi or equivalent catastrophe modeling platforms and maintaining data dictionaries
- Experience supporting OASIS model rollout and BOLT system enhancements (requirements, testing, stakeholder coordination)
- Experience coordinating regulatory and Lloyd's reporting and producing audit-ready documentation
- Ability to define and implement global data standards, data quality checks, and governance routines
- Experience partnering with development and analytics teams to translate business needs into functional requirements and validate solutions
- Proven cross-functional stakeholder management across modelling, underwriting, risk, regional, and development teams
- Experience managing merger/integration of differing catastrophe modelling approaches and aligning methodologies and assumptions
