Purpose of the Role:
The role supports the CFS by providing oversight of risk management, including issue identification, control monitoring, key risk reporting, and sample reviews. It is responsible for managing conduct and compliance risk, investigating incidents, implementing preventive actions, and reinforcing conduct and compliance expectations. In addition, the role serves as the central coordination point for risk and control assessments and communications, operating as the Line 1.5 of defence.
What you will be doing:
Monitor and conduct sample reviews of investment and insurance transactions to identify irregularities and non-compliance issues, ensuring branches strictly adhere to the Bank’s internal guidelines, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Review and analyze sample checking reports and statistical data related to investment and insurance transactions, leveraging data analytics to identify trends, control gaps, and risk indicators.
Apply data analytics techniques to support risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting on conduct and compliance matters.
Arrange and oversee the Mystery Shopping Programme covering investment and insurance sales processes and account opening procedures.
Prepare clear, structured PowerPoint presentations and deliver reinforcement briefings to frontline sales staff on key observations arising from sample reviews, mystery shopping programmes, data insights, and regulatory updates.
Follow up on and investigate conduct and non-compliance incidents as required, supported by data-driven analysis.
Implement preventive measures informed by analytics and root-cause analysis to minimize potential conduct and compliance risks.
Oversee business compliance and regulatory matters.
Provide general support to the team as needed.
What are we looking for:
A degree holder in a relevant discipline
At least 10 years of experience in banking industry, knowledge in investment product / insurance product or equip with frontline experience will be a plus
ECF in Compliance in Core level is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholder
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
A proactive and customer-obsessed approach, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service
