Job Overview:

The AVP Product Management - Insurance is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of insurance product offerings. This role drives product innovation, enhances existing solutions, and ensures products align with the needs of advisors and their clients while supporting business growth, profitability, and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full product lifecycle for assigned insurance products, including research, development, launch, enhancement, and ongoing management.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and client needs assessments to identify product opportunities and recommend enhancements.
  • Define product strategy, vision, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, compliance, supervision, legal, operations, and technology teams to support product development and implementation.
  • Manage relationships with insurance carriers and third-party vendors, including product evaluation and contract negotiations.
  • Develop business cases for new product initiatives, including financial analysis and return on investment assessments.
  • Oversee the development of product documentation, training materials, and sales enablement resources.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize adoption, sales, and profitability.
  • Track industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activities to inform product strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for insurance products and provide support to internal stakeholders and advisors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in product management.
  • At least 5 years of experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing insurance products.
  • Deep understanding of insurance products, including life, annuities, long-term care, disability, and related regulatory requirements.

Preferences:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, financial models, and customer insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Experience working with financial advisors or wealth management platforms.
  • CLU, ChFC, or other relevant industry certifications.

Pay Range:

$109,283.00 - $182,104.00
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
