Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, PayPal Analytics will lead analytics-driven strategy for a strategic and growing PayPal portfolio. This role partners closely with Marketing, Credit, Finance, Product, and brand analytics leads to identify and quantify revenue and profit opportunities, increase cardholder engagement, and optimize marketing and product performance. The AVP will translate customer, financial, and behavioral data into clear recommendations, build business cases, and influence stakeholders to drive measurable portfolio growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
Identify, size, and prioritize profit-based marketing and product opportunities using customer and financial analytics.
Partner with Marketing, Credit, Finance, and Product to develop integrated strategies that improve credit penetration, incremental sales, engagement, and net income for each brand
Build proformas and financial models to evaluate product value propositions, campaign economics, and investment tradeoffs.
Design and execute test-and-control frameworks; measure incremental impact and business lift using tools such as Test & Learn, segmentation, and statistical modeling.
Serve as analytics partner for large initiatives (problem framing, approach design, analysis, measurement, and executive readouts).
Communicate insights and recommendations to internal leaders and client/partner teams; drive adoption of actions and track results.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma and 9+ years of work experience in marketing analytics in the financial services, credit card and/or payments industry
5+ years of analytics experience experience, including:
3+ years of analytics experience in financial services, payments, retail, or credit cards.
3+ years of hands-on experience with data and analytics tools (e.g., SQL plus SAS/R/Python) and working with large datasets/data warehouse environments
2+ years of experience managing remotely located teams
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Quantitative Marketing, Data/Analytics).
Proven hands-on experience managing a client relationship through analytics
Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation, digital tools and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred
Ability to influence key stakeholders and storytelling
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
Proven hands-on experience utilizing analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, or open-source tools such as R and Python.
Experience using external data sources for benchmarking and actionable insight
Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills
Proven ability to work independently, yet as key member and contributor to a broader team
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 115,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You will be required to commute to our nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as weekly business or team meetings, training and culture events.

Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
