Tower serves members across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., delivering personal banking solutions through digital channels and branch locations. Technology plays an important role in making those experiences simple, convenient, secure, and dependable.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the AVP, Network & Collaboration Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Tower's enterprise network, collaboration platforms, and communication technologies. You will lead the teams responsible for network services across headquarters, branches, data centers, and Azure cloud environments, while also overseeing enterprise telephony, contact center, and video conferencing services. This role is central to building resilient, secure, scalable, and cloud-aligned technology services that support employees and members.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and develop high-performing technical teams across networking, cloud connectivity, and collaboration services while fostering a service-oriented and security-focused culture.
  • Define and execute the enterprise network and collaboration strategy and roadmap in alignment with organizational goals, digital initiatives, cloud adoption, and risk posture.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and Azure cloud networking, with a focus on resilience, security, performance, and availability.
  • Lead the design, governance, and operational oversight of enterprise telephony, contact center platforms, video conferencing, meeting room technology, and unified communications.
  • Manage circuit contracts, telecom agreements, licensing, renewals, vendor relationships, technology lifecycle planning, and departmental budgets.
  • Oversee network monitoring, alerting, incident response, performance optimization, staffing plans, and service availability while using analytics and telemetry to improve reliability.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, architecture, and other Technology teams to strengthen zero-trust security, support audits and regulatory requirements, and drive modernization and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, relevant experience, and professional certifications.
  • Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise networking, Azure cloud networking, collaboration technologies, or telecom infrastructure, with at least five years of people leadership experience across multiple teams or functions. Relevant experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated success modernizing network and collaboration services in regulated or security-sensitive environments, with the ability to lead strategy, execution, and operational improvement.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute technology strategy, manage budgets and vendor relationships, evaluate technology investments, and deliver measurable operational outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure networking, including virtual networks, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, network security groups, web application firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Certifications such as Azure Administrator or Architect, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, ITIL, or equivalent are preferred. Relevant certifications and demonstrated experience may be considered as alternatives to a bachelor's degree.
  • Financial services or credit union experience, with familiarity with NCUA/FFIEC guidance and GLBA requirements.
  • Experience leading telephony, SIP/VoIP, contact center, unified communications, video conferencing, or meeting room technology services.

SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

  • Strategic leadership and the ability to translate complex technology capabilities, risks, and trade-offs into business-aligned decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to design resilient architectures that balance security, reliability, usability, and operational needs.
  • Experience using monitoring, alerting, analytics, and observability to manage performance, capacity, incidents, and service reliability.
  • Ability to build effective processes, service levels, and continuous improvement practices that strengthen operational outcomes.
  • Strong vendor, contract, financial, and technology lifecycle management skills, with a focus on accountability and measurable value.
