About the role
We are seeking an Associate Vice President (AVP) – Digital Platforms Product Manager to lead the design, development, and scaling of IIX’s impact investment digital platforms.
This role sits at the intersection of impact measurement, ESG standards, data analytics, and technology product innovation, overseeing platforms that serve investors, MSMEs, and corporates. The role will drive product strategy and execution across:
- IIX Values™ – Impact and ESG assessment platform, including Orange Seal™, Orange Bond labeling, and impact reporting
- IIX Intelligence™ – Impact data, analytics, and market intelligence platform
The role is responsible for ensuring that impact and ESG data are transformed into actionable analytics, dashboards, benchmarks, and decision-support tools for investors and enterprises.
Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities 1. Impact and ESG assessment, verification, and portfolio management- Ensure that global social and environmental standards (SDGs, IRIS+, IFC PS, ADB ESS) are translated into structured data models, indicators, and scoring logic suitable for analytics and reporting.
- Oversee data taxonomy design, including entity-level, portfolio-level, and issuance-level data structures for impact investment purpose.
- Maintain consistency and traceability between raw data, scoring outputs, and reported impact metrics.
- Lead the development of analytics-driven product features, including dashboards, benchmarks, peer comparisons, and trend analysis across impact, ESG, gender, and climate metrics.
- Work closely with data engineers and analysts to define data pipelines, schemas, and validation rules for impact and ESG data.
- Translate investor and enterprise needs into decision-ready analytics, such as portfolio views, risk flags, performance tracking, and progress-over-time indicators.
- Guide the integration of advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities (nice to have), including:
- LLM-powered search, summarisation, and insights across impact datasets
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using proprietary IIX and public data
- Automated quality checks, anomaly detection, and scoring explanations
- Ensure analytics outputs are transparent, explainable, and aligned with impact integrity principles.
- Define analytics requirements, KPIs, and success metrics for each platform feature.
- Oversee the delivery of data visualisations, exports, and reporting tools tailored to different user segments (investors, MSMEs, corporates, partners).
- Ensure analytics products support portfolio management, investment screening, monitoring, and reporting workflows.
- 8+ years of experience spanning digital product management, data platforms, analytics systems, or technology-enabled solutions, ideally within impact investing, ESG, climate, or sustainable finance contexts.
- Strong understanding of impact investing, climate finance, and sustainability frameworks, with the ability to operationalise standards such as SDGs, IRIS+, IFC Performance Standards, and ADB ESS into digital products.
- Demonstrated experience working with data systems, analytics platforms, or dashboard-driven products, either as a product owner, product manager, or closely embedded partner to engineering and data teams.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical, ESG, or impact concepts into actionable insights, product features, and user-friendly digital workflows.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working with impact data, ESG datasets, climate or social metrics, benchmarking systems, or portfolio analytics.
- Prior experience collaborating with DFIs, ratings agencies, ESG platforms, engineering firms, or development institutions.
- Familiarity with analytics tools, BI platforms, or data querying concepts (e.g. SQL, Python, GIS, or similar), not as a developer but to effectively scope, review, and guide data products.
- Exposure to AI-enabled or analytics-driven products, such as decision-support tools, automated insights, or data intelligence platforms.
