The High-Net-Worth Services Business Exit Planning Associate will be part of a growing team within the LPL Business Solutions organization responsible for supporting Financial Advisors with delivering High-Net-Worth focused advanced planning and portfolio strategy. The ideal candidate will have high-net-worth experience, be passionate about business exit planning, and be eager to support advisors with their highest-value clients and prospects.
High-Net-Worth Services offers a comprehensive suite of fee-based planning services, investing services, and additional high-net-worth-focused capabilities to help LPL advisors win and serve high-net-worth investors with more complex needs. In support of LPL advisors and their high-wealth clients, the Business Exit Planning Associate, will be a dedicated resource and member of LPL’s High-Net-Worth Services team. This individual will contribute to developing, launching, and delivering business exit planning services such as exit strategy development, business valuation, succession planning, and client education. Acting in a specialist capacity, this role will collaborate with High-Net-Worth Consultants and other specialized High-Net-Worth Services team members to deliver business exit planning services and support to subscribing advisors and their existing or prospective clients.
Additionally, this individual will contribute to the expansion, maintenance, and utilization of LPL’s Investment Banking referral partners to whom LPL Advisors can introduce their clients with small to mid-sized businesses for M&A and debt advisory services.
The Business Exit Planning Associate will also frequently interact with other areas of the firm, including LPL Legal, Compliance, and Relationship Management, and participate in strategic discussions with LPL leadership.
Responsibilities:
Establish and collaborate with a community of LPL Advisors interested in offering business exit planning to build a pipeline of investment banking referrals.
Contribute to maintaining and expanding the team’s referral network of High-Net-Worth wealth adjacent service providers, including Investment Banking, Business Advisory, OTC Hedging and Monetization.
Proactive sourcing of leads through LPL advisors of qualified business owners ready for sale or scale
Dispositioning, follow up, and follow through of qualified business planning leads
Occasional public speaking and conveyance of advanced subject matter in small and large public speaking settings. This includes public speaking participation in webinars, conference calls, staff meetings, and presentations at LPL conferences. The role may include representing LPL Financial at external conferences, events, and industry functions.
This position requires excellent customer service, record keeping and reporting skills with an emphasis on verbal and written communication abilities.
The candidate must demonstrate keen strategic thinking, analytical skills, project management skills, and excellent time management abilities. The incumbent must balance a collaborative approach within a team and driving their own independent efforts across all levels of a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced organization.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services or financial sales
Core Competencies:
Strong personal financial planning knowledge and an understanding of financial services products and solutions
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment encompassing multiple disciplines and product lines
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Highly collaborative with experience in servicing the needs of affluent and institutional clients.
Strong teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Software/Systems Skills: MS Office, Salesforce
Preferences:
Professional certifications such as CEPA, CEP, CFP, or CPA
Company raise, sale or recap experience

Pay Range:
167,300.00 - 278,800.00The pay salary range is inclusive of base salary and potential sales incentive compensation based upon the applicable incentive compensation plan for this position. Base salary is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Incentive compensation is dependent on achievement of goals set forth in the incentive compensation plan.
