Job Overview:

The Assistant Vice President, AI Platform, owns the services that enable LPL teams to register AI, connect approved models, tools, and data, operate products in production, and maintain visibility into platform activity and outcomes.

This role sets the product strategy, roadmap, priorities, and operating measures for the platform. The platform operationalizes those decisions and records the resulting activity and evidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide product teams with a defined process for registration, testing, certification, launch, monitoring, change management, suspension, and retirement.

  • Own runtime services supporting routing, access controls, policy enforcement, rate limiting, tenant and entitlement boundaries, PII handling, and AI firewall integration.

  • Establish shared approaches for knowledge access, data permissions, memory management, expiration, and deletion.

  • Provide output evaluation, production monitoring, drift detection, adversarial testing, and observability across models, tools, data, latency, failures, and workflow outcomes.

  • Partner with engineering teams on provider outages, incidents, kill switches, quarantine procedures, fallback behavior, and recovery testing.

  • Connect audit records, supervisory data, certification evidence, exceptions, and retention requirements to the responsible review teams.

  • Collect usage and cost data, apply rate limits, and provide FinOps with information supporting showback, chargeback, forecasting, and optimization.

  • Track adoption, onboarding time, availability, latency, failures, control coverage, exceptions, and cost, and use those measures to prioritize platform improvements.
