JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- To drive the integration of new third party app providers onto Astro’s STB devices, identity (SSO), metadata syndication solutions and billing platforms.
- Ability to coordinate between various internal departments (architecture, systems, QA, business, product, CMG) to drive the technical integration to enable content discovery of third party app content on our STB UI.
- Keep track of the latest technical solutions available in the market as well a innvations being driven by other services, specifically in relation to aggregation and generally across OTT video services.
- To support the development of roadmaps and strategies for Astro’s STB app framework in collaboration with stakeholders from business, marketing, content divisions, vendors and app providers for both App Aggregation and Astro Go.
- To support the validation and testing of the customer experience of our new App integrations and enhancements on Astro Go.
- To monitor the performance of the app product regularly and identify the gaps and issues that can be technically addressed to increase customers’ engagement.
- To work with the technology delivery team and external vendors to ensure features and capabilities meet stakeholder, app providers and customer expectations.
- Research and monitor trends of OTT app services to ensure Astro is ahead of curve in the app aggregation and companion app products.
- Advocate and communicate the best product designs, experience and technologies to adopt for stakeholders within the organization.
- Initiate and prioritize projects with the delivery teams, assist in determining the best technical implementation methods, track product development, and develop product launch plans.
- Be the primary interface between app providers and internal stakeholders for all matters related to the integration of new apps, from conceptualization to launch and enhancements.
- Supervise development of all internal and external technical documentation (i.e. product guidelines, manuals, FAQs, comms, etc.).
- Carry out any task given by superior that are aligned with company objective and business plan.
REQUIREMENTS:
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of information technology management, computer science, business management or communications.
- Prior digital product development or management experience, minimum of 5 years.
- Prior experience in STB developments and/or deliveries.
- Familiarity with OTT video services, their systems architectures and workflows.
- Familiarity with identity management (SSO) and operator billing platforms.
- Familiarity with app stores, their policies, processes and guidelines.
Experience in:
- Agile / Scrum software development projects
- UI / UX design and developments
- Internal stakeholder management and presentation to drive buy-ins
- Developing product specifications and strategies from business requirements
- Developing training materials and communications (FAQs, EULA, T&C)
- Project management
- Management of vendor contracts and payments
