If you are interested in working in this kind of innovative environment and you have worked on or have an interest in Azure AVD software, then we have a new role for a junior Dev Ops Engineer to build on their experience or academic background and then we have an exciting role in our global team where you’ll have the opportunity to work on existing legacy products as well as shape the products we offer our international clients.

As one of our AVD Dev Ops Engineers you will work with colleagues in the team and shadow more senior Engineers. You will assist and then manage the implementation and support Azure Virtual Desktop environments for Trimble’s customers across the globe. The role requires a good level of Azure AVD understanding coupled with knowledge of DevOps Infrastructure (IaC) practices. Success in this position involves working effectively with global product delivery teams and the rest of the DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment, scaling, and management of AVD solutions.

This successful candidate will join an international DevOps team, including members in Europe, India and North America. The team are responsible for working with multiple delivery teams within the organisation and assisting them in implementing DevOps best-practices which include designing and deploying quality Cloud infrastructures and an effective CI/CD pipelines for Trimble’s customer facing services.

What You Will Do:

• Design and implement AVD environments using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistency and scalability
• Automate deployment, scaling, and management of AVD resources using Terraform
• Provide support for Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
• Monitor and maintain AVD performance, availability, and security
• Optimize AVD environments for cost-effectiveness and performance
• Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructue, including virtual networks, storage, and identity services
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate AVD solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Terraform
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies for Azure environments
• Stay updated with the latest Azure and Terraform features, best practices, and industry trends

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments
• Experience in cloud infrastructure management, particularly with Microsoft Azure
• Proven experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments and terraform
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with experience in writing and maintaining Terraform scripts
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, including virtual networks, storage, compute, and identity management
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and governance in Azure environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating Terraform into DevOps workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill, with the ability to convey technical principles effectively

• Agile, specifically Scrum
• Practical knowledge of using Git/Bitbucket for source control
