JOB DESCRIPTION

An Avaloq Test Automation QA is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the banking application software through design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks. This position allows you to work with cross-functional teams – including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance – to understand requirements, create comprehensive test cases and validate that application meet both business and technical standards by implementing advanced QA processes that support scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Able to provide solution within test automation for Avaloq Core Platform application.
• Demonstrate the good knowledge and experience with Avaloq kernel and parameterization is preferred.
• Able to perform deep impact and analysis and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
• Be proactive in validating application features and ensuring quality assurance through troubleshooting and retest whenever is possible to ensure system behaviour is as expected.
• Able to understand test objectives, analyse the test requirements, and the test data required to facilitate the functional test automation for user acceptance and integration tests
• Able to perform functional impact analysis and ability to analyse test executions result.
• Able to demonstrate skill on test automation with the tools like TestMaster and think beyond automation.
• Sufficient knowledge on Wealth banking products, and general banking terminology.
• Able to work under minimum supervision and collaborate with another team member.
• Proactive and be able to propose alternate solutions to achieve the same desired outcome/objectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science/ IT or other related engineering fields
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in test case design and test case automation development
• Experience working on TestMaster testing tool is a must, min 1-3 years
• Able to perform software functional testing and understand the test requirements well
• Additional experience working on other test automation tools/technologies – i.e.  Selenium/Java/Python with min 1-3 years exp.
• Novice to advanced level of PL/SQL or Avaloq Scripting is a plus
• Hands on experience with Avaloq Smart Client application and the modules within the application
• Able to perform data analysis with standard query language, PL/SQL
• Understand data/object modelling experience in both Relational and Oracle database
• Hands on experience with writing unit, functional, and end-to-end tests scenario
• A strong sense of ownership
• Strong team player and interpersonal skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English
